Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Responds To
Vehicle Fire on Park Street in Hillsville

Today started out with multiple calls, with the first being a vehicle fire at 424 Park Street in Hillsville, the Hillsville Police Department tried to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers but the fire was already out of control. Garrett Baldwin owner of the 86 Ford Ranger said that he had left it running in the driveway when it caught fire. The Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly before it damaged the house next to it. Moments later, the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to  a second call dealing with tire burning on  on Popular Camp Road in Carroll County.
