Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Responds To

A Working Structure Fire on Silver Leaf Road

This morning around 10:30 A.M. The Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department along with Laurel Fork Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fully involved working structure fire at 19 Silver Leaf Road in the Red Hill Section of Carroll County.  Upon Arrival the Fire Department found the House was fully Involved, and Shannon Reece and her two children ages 4 and 7 months ( boys ) were out of the residence while her other 2 children ages 13 and 

9 ( girls ) were in school.  The cause of the fire was undetermined by the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department.  Be much in prayer for the family and her 4 kids as it approaches the Holiday season.  Also many Thanks goes out the the Galax Volunteer Fire Department and Cana Volunteer Fire Department who responded and was on stand-by at the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Station 1 and to the American Red Cross and The Carroll County School System in helping out to hopefully supply the family with the immediate needs to continue day to day and through the holiday season.
