Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Responds To
A Working Structure Fire on Oak Grove Road

The HVFD was called out around 2:00 AM this morning Stations 1,2&3 responded to a Structure Fire at 3393 Oak Grove Road in the Laurel area of Carroll County. The fire started around the flue and spread to the adjacent walls in the second floor and attic area, firefighters quickly ventilated the roof and attacked the fire from inside the home , The family was able to get out safely, damages to the home were extensive from heavy smoke and fire in the attic area.
