Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Set Up Landing Zone At Carroll County High School

Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department was called to Carroll County High School to prepare a landing zone on the Football Field.  Carroll County EMS transported a burn Victim from MOHAWK Industries to landing zone site where care was taken over by Carilion Lifeguard Flight Crew.  The Victim received severe burns to the face and other locations of his body from a battery explosion.  Details are still unclear on how or what happened to cause the battery to explode.
